Front Country programming is a no cost opportunity to learn the rigorous and life long discipline of backcountry skiing and split boarding and gain AIARE 1 avalanche certification and training.
Join the Front Country Family to be connected to a family of veterans mountaineers all over the country!
Backcountry skiing can be dangerous please make sure you meet the requirements below:
Some previous ski / snowboard experience
Live in a region that has access to snowy conditions to allow the continuation of skills gained

OVERVIEW OF CURRENT FRONT COUNTRY PROGRAMS
SHRED Therapy: Our flagship program. FCF runs multiple six day clinics December - April in the Targhee, Teton and Absaroka mountain ranges that surround Jackson Hole, WY.
Each SHRED therapy clinic includes:
All necessary backcountry gear for your use from our FCF Gear Cache
Avalanche probe, shovel and beacon kit for you to keep
Internationally recognized AIARE 1 avalanche training & certification at no cost
Backcountry skill training including skinning, downhill, on map terrain, partner rescue, lines etc.
Travel to all ski sites, activities and airport pick up/ drop off
Daily meal stipend
Goodbye Dinner with Front Country BOD, staff & participants.
*Financial help for lodging and transportation to Jackson, WY is available!
Travis Partyka Scholarship: This comprehensible annual scholarship is awarded to a veteran who embodies the passion, grit and generosity of our friend Travis. The Partyka clinic recipient joins a SHRED Therapy clinic, in addition, ALL associated costs are covered by the foundation. Including round trip airfare and lodging in Jackson, WY.
The recipient also receives a head to toe backcountry set-up (including board/skis, skins, a full kit, helmet, backcountry pack & all necessary avy gear) to continue your backcountry adventures long after your time with the Front Country.
